The Research Alliance for Farrowing,
the Weak Link in Alternative Swine Systems

This four-year project was funded by the North Central Region SARE with assistance from the Value Chain Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture.  It aims to improve the communication and cooperation among producers in alternative swine systems, field veterinarians, and ISU scientists, with the focus on the early life of young pigs.  (See proposal abstract.)

The project got underway in December, 2003, with meetings in Cherokee and Waverly.  Here are links from these programs to:
